Any AI tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or your own agents. You connect Claude yourself in a few minutes; for other tools our team helps with the setup.
Can the AI post entries or change data?+
No. The connection is read-only: no journal entries are posted and your source administration is not changed.
Does the AI see every company?+
No. The AI uses your login and only sees the companies you can access in Smartbooks.
What do I need to start with Claude?+
A Smartbooks account with access to at least one company and a Claude plan that supports custom connectors. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an admin adds the connector.
